As per a notice by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), registration for the 2024 H-1B cap will be open from March 1 to March 17, 2023.
During this time, prospective petitioners and representatives can complete and submit their registrations utilizing the online H-1B registration procedure.

Applicable fees
Prospective H-1B cap-subject petitioners or their representatives should operate a myUSCIS online account to register each beneficiary electronically for the selection procedure and pay the associated $10 H-1B enrollment fee for each registration presented on behalf of each beneficiary. Forthcoming petitioners submitting their own registrations (US employers and agents, collectively known as registrants) will operate a registrant account. Registrants can create new accounts starting at noon Eastern on February 21.
Representatives can add clients to their accounts at any time, but representatives and registrants should wait until March 1 to enter beneficiary details and submit with the $10 fee. Prospective petitioners or representatives can submit registrations for numerous beneficiaries in a single online session. Through the account, they can prepare, edit, and store draft registrations before final payment and submission of each registration.
If USCIS obtains enough registrations by March 17, it will randomly choose registrations and send selection notifications through users’ myUSCIS online accounts. If it does not receive enough, all properly submitted registrations in the initial registration time will be selected. We plan to notify account holders by March 31, says the official notice.
A temporary boost in daily credit card transaction limit
The US Department of Treasury has authorized a temporary growth in the daily credit card transaction limit from $24,999.99 to $39,999.99 per day for the FY 2024 H-1B cap season.
This temporary boost is in reaction to the volume of prior H-1B registrations that exceeded the daily credit card limit. Additional information will be offered before the beginning of the initial H-1B registration period.
An H-1B cap-subject petition, including a petition for a beneficiary eligible for the cutting-edge degree exemption, may only be filed by a petitioner whose enrollment for the beneficiary named in the H-1B petition was chosen in the H-1B registration procedure.
