IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation, in collaboration with Sony India Software Centre Pvt Ltd, has launched a dynamic training initiative to equip engineering college students with industry-aligned technical skills.



The program, tailored to fields like AI/ML, Product Security, and Computer Graphics, is cost-free and accompanied by stipends based on specific criteria. Around 30 students will be handpicked by a joint effort of IIT Madras Pravartak and Sony India for this unique Finishing School Training Program.

Eligibility Criteria



Candidates with an Engineering degree in ECE, CSE, or EEE holding a minimum aggregate of 60% are eligible.



Selection Process



Selection is based on various criteria including academic performance, parental income, and performance in an entrance exam comprising aptitude/analytical tests followed by an interview.



Operating as a Section 8 Company, IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation hosts a cutting-edge Technology Innovation Hub specializing in Sensors, Networking, Actuators, and Control Systems. Supported by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, this initiative thrives within the premises of IIT Madras.



Upon program completion, Sony India plans to onboard select high-performing students through their standard procedures. Moreover, IIT Madras Pravartak will facilitate placements for other students by arranging interviews through its placement cell, potentially leading to full-time positions based on their performance.
