The partnership has already facilitated STEM learning for 960 children across diverse areas, including 3-D printing, aero-modeling, energy (solar lamp making), robotics, and astronomy, among others. Through hands-on experiences and interactive learning, these programs are designed to leave a lasting impact on the impressionable minds of the youth. The collaboration aims to influence the next generation positively.

The initiatives encompass a range of STEM subjects, encouraging children to explore and engage with various scientific and technological concepts. Practical exposure in areas like 3-D printing, aero-modeling, and robotics can significantly enhance their understanding and interest in these fields.

By leveraging the expertise of IIT Bombay students and the outreach capabilities of Smile Foundation, the collaboration seeks to make a meaningful contribution to the educational landscape, especially in the STEM domain.

STEM education is recognized for its role in fostering critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and creativity. By introducing children to these subjects through practical applications, the collaboration aims to contribute to their holistic development.

Insights from IIT Bombay

Rajesh Zele, from IIT Bombay's Electrical Engineering Department, expressed that these programs are making a strong social impact by influencing the next generation. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to nurturing curiosity and enthusiasm for STEM subjects among school children.
