According to an official statement released on Sunday, it was announced that 500 teachers from government-run colleges and polytechnic colleges in Rajasthan will be given the opportunity to pursue training courses in renowned institutions within the country and abroad. The statement highlighted that the selected teachers will gain insights into new technologies and innovative teaching methods to enhance their pedagogical approaches.

The approval for the 'Teacher Interface for Excellence (TIE) program was granted by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. The programme aims to allocate Rs 23.50 crore for research and training facilities during the financial year 2023-24. Detailed guidelines for the program will be issued shortly, according to the press release.

Under the TIE programme, teachers will have the chance to receive training from esteemed foreign institutions with a QS ranking of 1 to 100, as well as national institutions ranked 1 to 100, according to the NIRF. This initiative will enable teachers to familiarize themselves with exemplary educational policies and programmes, fostering a culture of quality teaching and research in higher education across the state.

The programme's implementation is expected to enhance the educational and research standards of Rajasthan's higher education institutions, further bolstering their performance as assessed by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Training programmes offered through TIE will range from 1 to 6 months in duration, as specified by the government.
