The Ministry of Education has announced the ARIIA (Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements) Rankings 2021. The interested ones can check the complete rank list on the official website at aria.gov.in.
The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras has secured the top rank in the ARIIA rankings, followed by the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
The Union Minister of State for Education Subhas Sarkar virtually announced the rankings.
The ARIIA 2021 saw extraordinary participation of institutions as compared to the previous editions. This year, out of total of 3551 registered HEIs, 1438 institutions (including all IITs, IISc, NITs, etc.) participated.
The rankings were decided under 02 categories i.e. Technical and Non-Technical.
The technical category is further divided into 05 sub-categories: CFTIs, Central University, & Institute of National Importance, Govt. College/ Institution (Govt. & Govt. Aided), State University & Deemed University (Govt. & Govt. Aided), University & Deemed University (Self-Finance/ Private) and Private College/ Institute (Self-Finance/Private).
The non-technical category is also divided into 02 sub-categories: General (Non-Technical) and CFIs/ Central University /Institute of National Importance (Non-Technical).
