On Thursday, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh introduced Bharat Biotech’s nasal COVID-19 Made-in-India vaccine- iNCOVACC.

Invented by India’s Bharat Biotech, iNCOVACC will be available to the government for Rs 325 per dose and Rs 800 for private hospitals.

Bharat Biotech’s nasal COVID-19 Made-in-India vaccine- iNCOVACC, was developed in collaboration with Washington University, St. Louis, which had designed and developed the recombinant adenoviral vector construct and considered it in preclinical studies for efficacy.

According to the company, the iNCOVACC vaccine is the world’s first intranasal vaccine for covid-19 to have obtained authorization for a primary two-dose schedule and as a heterologous booster dose.

According to the vaccine maker Bharat Biotech, one can reserve an appointment for the intranasal vaccine dose by visiting the official CoWin website.
