British Council Signed Agreement with Maharashtra Government to Internationalize Higher Education.
The British Council, the United Kingdom's worldwide organization for educational opportunities and cultural exchange, and the Maharashtra Government's Department of Higher and Technical Education signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The British Council, the UK's international organization for educational opportunities and cultural exchange, and the Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen educational and cultural exchange to promote the state's aspirations for knowledge and economic development. The British Council, the UK's international organization for educational opportunities and cultural exchange, and the Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra, This is under the desires of the Public authority of Maharashtra and its work to further develop potential open doors for youngsters, quality advanced education and abilities improvement.



The MoU was endorsed within the sight of Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil, Hon'ble Priest, Administration of Maharashtra, Division of Higher and Specialized Instruction, and Alison Barrett MBE, Chief India, English Committee. The agreement was signed by Mr. Vikas Chandra Rastogi, IAS, Principal Secretary of Higher Education, and Rashi Jain, Director of West India, British Council. This agreement will add to the partnership that the Government of Maharashtra and British Council India already have to work together to improve the state's higher education quality and skills. This organization is planned to give the young admittance to excellent instruction and globally benchmarked evaluations; qualifications and abilities; and the sharing of ideas, creativity, and culture.



The agreement stipulates that the British Council will assist in the internationalization of Maharashtra's higher education, including research and mobility. The draft agreement aims to make it possible for the state government to set up opportunities for sharing information and working together in areas of mutual interest. Through face-to-face and virtual workshops, training, mentoring, and knowledge exchange, the two organizations will collaborate to strengthen Maharashtra's higher education ecosystem by focusing on activities for faculty capacity building, leadership development, and training to support the internationalization agenda.



To facilitate the implementation of this partnership, members of the British Council and the Maharashtra Government will form a working group.
