According to a statement released by the institute on Wednesday, the online-synchronous program combines massive open online courses (MOOCs) taught by IIM-B academics with live online seminars led by professionals and experts in the field.

It further stated that the initiative, launched on National Doctors' Day, intends to assist entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, mid-level managers, healthcare consultants, and healthcare professionals. K Sudhakar, the health minister for Karnataka, claims that the new curriculum would make both government and private institutions' health delivery systems holistic. He said that although the majority of hospital administrators are specialists in their professions, they lack management knowledge, which lowers their ability to operate effectively and results in inefficient resource use.
