The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education), Ministry of Education in partnership with NIC (National Informatics Centre), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology is jointly launching the 'CollabCAD' Software. An MoU has been signed between the two departments for "CollabCAD Software Support and Training for Students and Faculty of Engineering Graphics in CBSE affiliated Schools" for 10 years duration.

The software will be introduced by the Central Board of Secondary Education for Engineering Graphics subject at Senior School Level for Class 11th and Class 12th. The software will be used for practical assignments as a part of the subject module to prepare various types of 3D and 2D designs/ drawings.

The software will be available to students from around 140 schools across the nation and some of the Middle East schools which are affiliated with CBSE, New Delhi to use it to understand the Engineering Graphics' concepts and for practical assignments.

A comprehensive eBook is also being launched jointly by the CBSE, NIC, and AIM (Atal Innovation Mission) on CollabCAD 3D modeling to guide CAD students, beginners, and professionals.
