The Ministry of Education has informed that a 04-year ITEP (Integrated Teacher Education Programme) will be offered from the 2022-23 academic session. The Programme will be a dual-major holistic bachelor's degree offering BA-BEd, BCom-BEd, and BSc-BEd.

Initially, the Ministry will offer the course in 50 selected multidisciplinary institutions across the nation.

As per the National Education Policy, teacher engagement will be only through ITEP from 2030 onwards.
