Education System Requires Complete Revamping, says Rahul Gandhi
Mr. Gandhi stated that he was not a fan of the present education system in India. He pointed out that the same lessons he learned 25 years ago were now being introduced to his sister’s children. He said the world has changed a lot since then, and learning systems have evolved, but this change is not contemplated in our education.

On Wednesday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharath Jodo Yatra was accorded a warm reception on the fourth day of its Kerala leg when it entered the Kollam district at Paraipally.
A considerable number of party workers were present to welcome the leader. Many people, including senior citizens and children, waited on both sides as the foot march intersected different points.
District Congress Committee president, P. Rajendraprasad and N.K. Premachadran, MP, welcomed Mr. Gandhi. Other senior leaders accompanied the Congress Committee president and MP, including Rajmohan Unnithan, C.R Mahesh, Shanavaz Khan, Bindu Krishna, K.C Rajan, Soorandu Rajasekharan, Mohan Shankar, Shanavaz Khan, and R. Chandrasekharan.
He communicated and interacted with select school students at Empire Convention Centre and distributed awards to the winners of a painting competition held in connection with the yatra. Mr. Gandhi discussed this with former Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president- C.V. Padmarajan.
He made a surprise detour to the house of Shanta at Kalluvathukkal, one of the most aged women who waited for him at the Parayil colony junction. When Shanta told she was staying nearby and pointed to the home, Mr. Gandhi walked to her house and spent some time with the people assembled around him.
Shanta- who runs a small insignificant shop, was cheered to host the leader. He asked about Shanta's family and interacted with other women who loaded her house.
While interacting with the students, Mr. Gandhi stated that he was not a fan of the present education system in India. He pointed out that the same lessons he learned 25 years ago were now being introduced to his sister’s children. He said the world has changed a lot since then, and learning systems have evolved, but this change is not contemplated in our education.
Talking about his sentiment toward Kerala, he said he sensed genuine affection for the Kerala people. He said No matter how much admiration I give- I get more. Kerela people deliver me a lot of strength in doing my work.
