On the occasion of World MSME Day 2022, The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) introduced a bachelor's programme in Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (BAVMSME) for the nation's young. Beginning with the July session, the School of Vocational Education and Training will offer the BAVMSME programme. Students who meet the requirements can submit an application through ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in, the IGNOU's official website. The deadline for applications is July 31.
The BA MSME programme requires a Class 12 passing certificate as eligibility. The course is beneficial to people who want to pursue a career as an entrepreneur and who want to upgrade their knowledge and abilities in the area of micro, small, and medium enterprises.
The curriculum will meet the current demands of a young entrepreneur and help them gain the information and abilities they need to launch a firm. The programme would help increase work prospects for young people in India, according to an official IGNOU statement.
The BAVMSME programme will aid in fostering knowledge of identifying business opportunities, market research, innovation, and implementation; planning and designing a new project; looking into investment opportunities; developing and maintaining a business; marketing and social networking; taxation; and obtaining licences.
The programme will provide opportunity for both aspiring entrepreneurs and low-skilled workers to receive training and advance their skills. The training will improve skills in accordance with market demands. According to the IGNOU statement, industry experts and prosperous business owners will share their experiences to offer useful guidance.
The program's primary goals include enhancing knowledge, skills, and competencies for starting one's own business venture, studying market demand before starting a business enterprise, operating one's own business successfully and profitably, inculcating managerial skills for setting up a new enterprise, enhancing interpersonal skills and leadership skills for empowering oneself and others, and providing an innovative and competency-based approach in the area of business.
