The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad incubated startup PlusPin is providing medicines, tests, and doctor consultation. These services will be provided through tele-medicine and medical equipment on a rental basis.

The start incubated at CIE (Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship) is providing a digital platform to local pharmacists.

Founded by Santosh Kumar Panda and Gopal Krishna Panigrahy, the PlusPin Healthcare has enrolled 1500 pharmacists across Vizag, Hyderabad, and Vijaywada. Along with a store app, these pharmacists have also been provided with online facilities to book diagnostic test and provide medical equipments to patients on rent.

Along with this, the startup also helps different pharma outlets in branding their products in the physical store or on the app. During COVID, the startup included services like doctor consultation for mild symptoms, RT-PCR home sample collection, and providing oxygen concentrators on rent. It also worked with different civil society groups and NGOs to get medical equipment.

In future, the company is hoping to expand its presence to 16 Indian cities, with special focus on Nagpur, Warangal, and Nizamabad.
