The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM Ahmedabad) has recently introduced an open learning platform to provide online certification courses to students and professionals. Through this platform, IIM Ahmedabad will offer diverse courses- economics, information technology, finance and accounting, human resources, leadership, and data science. The time of these courses will be four to six weeks.

As per the release by the institute, these courses will also be available on famous online platforms – Swayam & Coursera. In addition to delivering an intensive and high-quality learning experience, the online certification courses will act as the first contact point for candidates looking to upskill and upgrade.

A wide range of synchronous or live courses and asynchronous and self-paced courses will be available to students on the platform.

According to a statement, IIM Ahmedabad will also launch a Learning Path module in the future, which aims to deliver guidance to students to change to or upskill in a specific discipline. This path will be developed with the contribution and guidance of faculty members and will be tailored to each candidate.

Professor Bharat Bhasker, the Director of IIM Ahmedabad, said Online@IIMA is a critical step forward in our journey, bringing the expertise of our faculty to a larger pool of candidates across the globe. This platform will allow faster upskilling of the available talent pool and bridge the geographical obstacle to high-quality education.

To further strengthen our efforts and broaden our reach, we also offer these courses on Swayam and Coursera. We believe that Online@IIMA will also deliver the same transformative learning experience that IIM Ahmedabad is known for to all those who desire to participate in it.
