The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) is all set to host its annual sports festival, Udghosh 2023. The institute has introduced the Udghosh National Open School Quiz (UNOSQ) as part of its commitment to engage with school students.

Udghosh National Open School Quiz is particularly designed for students ranging from classes 5 to 12.

The quiz comprises two distinct phases, offering participants an opportunity to showcase their analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, general knowledge, and grasp of sports-related matters.

Segmented into four categories, the quiz caters to various age groups. "Pool A" accommodates the youngest participants (Classes 5 and 6), while "Pool B" caters to the burgeoning talents (Classes 7 and 8). "Pool C" addresses students in the champion category (Classes 9 and 10), and "Pool D" extends an invitation to the pioneers (Classes 11 and 12).

In the initial phase, participants will engage in a rigorous intellectual exploration, encountering questions that test their cognitive understanding. A fusion of logic, aptitude, problem-solving, general awareness, and sports knowledge, this phase promises a mental endeavor that sharpens cognitive faculties. This preliminary round is scheduled for August 27.

The subsequent phase, slated for September 3, exclusively involves the top 100 participants. This advanced round poses more intricate queries, challenging participants' depth of knowledge and analytical capabilities.

The completion of UNOSQ will happen on September 7, during which the winners will be rewarded. An integral aspect of this initiative is the chance for participants to engage in interactive sessions with industry experts and thought leaders. The conclusion of Udghosh 2023 will be marked by a felicitation ceremony at IIT Kanpur on October 8. It is noteworthy that winners stand to earn prizes exceeding Rs 50,000, in addition to a range of valuable merchandise.
