The Department of Management Studies at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has attained a placement rate of 100 percent for the upcoming academic year 2021–2022. At the IIT Madras campus placement 2022 campaign, all 61 of the graduating class graduates accepted job offers. Over the management department's prior record for 2020–21, the average compensation has increased by 30.35 percent.

Management students make an average salary of Rs. 16.66 lakh annually. Pre-placement offers (PPOs) were given to about 16% of the class; these students were hired by the companies where they had done their internships. Despite the fact that IIT Madras' placements were handled online, the college claimed in a statement that this year's offers came in sooner and the final placements went more quickly. The article continued by listing the top employers like Amazon, Cisco, Deloitte, ICICI, and McKinsey.

"The recruiters' generous offers are a reflection of the calibre of our students and our programme. DoMS is renowned for its outstanding, top-notch professors and demanding teaching and learning procedures. Future industrial involvement in a variety of fields is something we anticipate, according to Prof. M. Thenmozhi, head of the department of management studies at IIT Madras.

Dr Rahul Marathe R, Faculty Coordinator (Placement), DoMS, IIT Madras, added the following when discussing the placement process: "Overall, the placement process received active participation from companies across all domains, ensuring ample choice for the candidates to pursue careers in the field of their preferences. The variety of profiles that the companies provided to the batch is proof of the excellence and work of DoMS. We appreciate the recruiters' affirmation of their belief in the skills fostered by the DoMS MBA programme.
