The Pravartak Technologies Foundation, a tech innovation hub from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras will collaborate with 05 city startups. This collaboration will help in developing and commercializing the space technologies such as satellite design, rapid launch capabilities, and next-generation communications like 6G.



This IIT Madras's consortium will be called 'I-STAC.DB (Indian Space Technologies and Applications Design Bureau)' and will primarily focus on developing next-generation technologies.



The Department of Science and Technology will fund the IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation. The founding members of the consortium are the 05 startups i.e. Dron Vayu Pvt Ltd, GalaxEye Space Solutions Pvt Ltd, Agnikul Cosmos Pvt Ltd, Resileo Labs LLP, and Mindgrove Technologies Pvt Ltd.



The objective of the consortium is to develop a sequential 'atmanirbhar' ecosystem for future generation space technologies including satellite design and assembly, rapid launch capability, ground stations, future generation communication like 6G, data processing, geospatial application sectors, and assimilation for communication.



The Faculty In-Charge of IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation and the member of the National Security Advisory Board, Govt of India Prof V Kamakoti said that the satellite communication has emerged as an economic changer. "This consortium was formed to bring end-to-end solutions," he added.
