The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) is making significant strides in supporting India's startup ecosystem through the introduction of an Intelligence Platform on Government Funding Schemes for Startups. This collaborative effort with YNOS, a startup incubated at IIT Madras, aims to streamline access to vital information about government funding schemes designed specifically for startups.

One of the standout features of the platform is its ability to provide contact details and social media links for each scheme, allowing entrepreneurs to easily access additional information about their areas of interest. Moreover, users can swiftly download comprehensive reports on these schemes, making the process exceptionally user-friendly.

The primary objective of this platform is to equip entrepreneurs with a comprehensive understanding of the government funding landscape for startups. Acting as a centralized hub, it aggregates data from various sources, including central government schemes, central public sector companies, and numerous state governments, covering more than 100 diverse schemes from different agencies.

This initiative not only simplifies procedures for entrepreneurs but also offers valuable insights through comprehensive analytics. These insights encompass data about startups that have previously benefitted from each scheme, the average financial investments they received, the age of the startups at the time of funding, the number of founders in each startup, and the ages of these founders at the time of receiving financial support.

During the platform's launch, Amitabh Kant, India's G20 Sherpa, emphasized its significance. As the platform becomes operational, it is expected to play a pivotal role in supporting the growth and development of startups by simplifying the intricate landscape of government funding opportunities. With just one click, entrepreneurs can access a wealth of resources and insights, further solidifying IIT Madras's commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the country.
