IIT-Madras to Introduce a Course on Advanced Quantum Computing
According to IIT Madras, this new course aims at introducing specialised subjects to participants familiar with the fundamentals of quantum computing. It will also present QISKIT runtime, which will shortly be the default approach for programming in IBM QISKIT.

IIT Madras- The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation is conducting a new two-week course on ‘Advanced Quantum Computing’ with training on IBM QISKIT.
The Advanced Quantum Computing course is being offered in partnership with (ACM)- Association for Computing Machinery India and (MCQuICC)- Mphasis Centre for Quantum Information, Communications, and Computing.
According to IIT Madras, this new course aims at introducing specialised subjects to participants familiar with the fundamentals of quantum computing. It will also present QISKIT runtime, which will shortly be the default approach for programming in IBM QISKIT.
The two-week course will be carried out at the IIT Madras campus between December 5th and 16th. It will be available to participants from industries and other government organisations. The last day to apply for the course is December 2. Applicants can apply for the new program at the official link– wsaqc.pravartak.org.in.
This school is a sequel to the ACM school on quantum computing, organized in January 2022. The course aims to teach participants to use cutting-edge IBM QISKIT modules on quantum machine learning, quantum simulation, and quantum finance.
The Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, funded the IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation under its (NM-ICPS)- National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems. It aims to develop and productise solutions in the fields of Cyber-Physical Systems with an emphasis on Indian needs.
