IIT-Roorkee to Launch a Programme on HR Analytics
The programme will consist of real-world analytics applications across HR and numerous other fields and sectors, practical exposure via hands-on projects and a Capstone, and industry-relevant case-based knowledge.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Roorkee) introduced a programme on HR Analytics, unlocking Human Capital with an online digital skills training organisation Simplilearn. The programme offers live online masterclasses with the curriculum developed and provided by IIT Roorkee professors.
The programme will consist of real-world analytics applications across HR and numerous other fields and sectors, practical exposure via hands-on projects and a Capstone, and industry-relevant case-based knowledge.
The programme, offered through the Continuing Education Centre, IIT Roorkee (CEC IITR), has been specifically designed for middle to senior-level managers and C-suite executives. It will consist of interactive doubt-clearing sessions to provide transparency of course concepts, with Simplilearn’s job service and a certification of completion from CEC IIT Roorkee.
The six-month programme is meant for Human Resource professionals across industries at middle to senior levels to learn to utilize analytics for data-driven decisions. HR managers who interact with data teams and output reports and desire to have meaningful conversations to get the best value from business data will help from the programme. Also, C-suite executives and consultants pursuing data insights and a practical understanding of HR analytics to begin new projects or launch new business concepts can benefit from this programme.
In order to apply, individuals should hold a bachelor’s degree in any field. Working professionals with up to six years of work experience desiring to sway analytics to make business decisions can also apply for the programme. Initial coding or technology expertise is not required to register for the programme.
The programme will be introduced in India and globally. The programme includes concepts such as Foundations of Business Analytics, Exploratory Data Analysis and Visualization using R, HR Analytics for People Strategy, Statistical Analysis for Business Decision Making, Predictive Analytics for Business, Capstone Projects, and Data Science and Machine Learning for Decision Making. The electives will consist of Human Resource Analytics Unlocking Human Capital – academic masterclasses.
