The Indian Army has collaborated with National Security Council Secretariat to establish a Quantum Computing Laboratory and an Artificial Intelligence Centre at a Military Engineering Institute in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh.



The Army has established these two centres to carry out comprehensive research and training in developing transformative technologies to be used by the armed forces.



The Defence Ministry informed that the Army has established the Quantum Lab with support from the NSCS at Military College of Telecommunication Engineering, Mhow to initiate research and training in this prime developing area. The Ministry also informed that an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Centre has been established by the Army at the same institution with more than 140 deployments in advance areas.



General MM Naravane, the Chief of Army Staff, also visited the Lab during his visit to Mhow.



The Ministry added, "Training on cyber warfare is being imparted through a state-of-the-art cyber range and cyber security labs".
