The Ireland Government has announced scholarships for Indian students for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes worth 12,00,000 Euros. The Govt. will host an Education Fair to together top 20 higher education institutions of Ireland having students from all across India and Sri Lanka.
The Education Fair (virtual showcase) will be held on Feb 27, 2021. The Government clarified that the scholarship amount for Sri Lankan students will be 3,00,000 Euros.
In Ireland, there are several options to consider regarding scholarships since several higher educational institutes offer merit based scholarships.
Director of Education, Ireland, Giles O'Neill said, "Besides, Education in Ireland, as a national brand, will be giving scholarships to 10 Indian students on the day of the showcase".
The Education Fair is an event especially for South Asian students and includes top 20 higher educational institutions of Ireland that are offering worldwide recognized undergraduate and postgraduate courses in science, business, humanities, and engineering. The officials from New Delhi Irish Visa Office will also be taking part in the event. The other institutes include Institute of Technology Carlow, Griffith College, Trinity College Dublin, Athlone Institute of Technology, Dundalk Institute of Technology and University College Cork.
Regional Manager of India & South Asia for Education in Ireland Barry O'Driscoll said, "We are glad to announce the second virtual showcase of Education in Ireland. These courses prove to be an ideal stage to offer students continuous real-time meetings, live Q&A sessions, audio and video chats with the faculty experts of the institutions in addition to assisting the students to boost commitment in a more viable way".
Detailed seminars and info sessions on education in Ireland will also be conducted. The participants will be able to talk with agents and college representatives, get advice from Irish govt officials and pose inquiries, learn about scholarships and visa processes.
