The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and Indian Navy has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for research in the underwater domain of the Naval Electronics System. The MoU will also further the relationship between the two organizations

In past, key technologies for the Navy in the stream of underwater electronics have been developed by the CARE (Centre for Applied Research in Electronics) at IIT Delhi.

The research executed at IIT Delhi has played a significant role in the technological leaps taken by the Indian Navy. In agreement with the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Indian Navy aspire to take major technology-driven projects and developments through IIT Delhi.
