Through this program, NASA's objective is to send the first woman and the next man on the Moon. Under this program, NASA will use better technology to study the moon and to prepare for human missions to Mars planet. The other interesting facts related to the program are given below:





  • The name ARTEMIS is derived from Greek mythology and is related to the APOLLO missions. (According to Greek mythology, Artemis was Apollo's twin sister and the Goddess of the Moon).




  • The Space Launch System, the most powerful rocket in the world, will be used for the program.




  • Another purpose of the program is to visit the Moon's South Pole where no man has ever been.




  • Through this program, the astronauts will be able to land on the Moon by 2024.





Under the program, NASA will land the first woman and the next man on the Moon by 2024. This program will use innovative technologies to explore more of the lunar surface than ever before. In this mission, International partners will also take part.



With the help of the program, there is a possibility to reveal the capabilities and business approaches needed for the future.
