On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar School of Economics (BASE) University's new campus in this city and revealed a statue of the man who designed the Indian Constitution that had been placed there. He also introduced 150 "Technology Hubs" at the occasion, which were created by modernizing Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) around Karnataka.

According to the Prime Minister, Karnataka is particularly important to India's advancements in the fields of technology, research, and innovation. The new technology hubs created by converting ITIs will, according to PM Modi, "offer skill-building chances for the youth and create various employment prospects."

The Technology Hubs initiative, developed at a cost of approximately Rs 4,700 crore, is backed by numerous industrial partners and intends to develop a competent workforce to meet Industry 4.0 personnel needs. The state government has paid Rs 657 crore of the overall cost, and Rs 4,080 crore has been paid by Tata Technologies Limited (TTL) and its business partners.

Additionally, the state has invested an extra Rs 220 crore in these 150 ITIs to build specialized workshops and technology labs. These Technology Hubs will increase the employment and entrepreneurial options for ITI graduates by offering high-skill training in cutting-edge technology through a variety of cutting-edge courses.

Among those in attendance were Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, and a number of state cabinet ministers.

In honour of Ambedkar's outstanding achievements in the growth of independent India and as an homage to his legacy on the occasion of his 125th birthday, the residential BASE University was established in 2017.

BASE University, according to PM Modi, is respect to Dr. Ambedkar's intelligence. "Many students will gain from this institution's new campus. The newly launched tech centers will benefit our "Yuva Shakti" as well "said the prime minister.
