New Zealand Govt will resume visa processing for students and under the visitor visa section from July 31. This, as per the government's earlier explanation, will signal "the full resumption of international education".

A high-level international mission from the country also manifested this reopening of borders, including the stops of Education Minister Chris Hipkins in Denver, Chile, and Brazil. The delegation showcases the return to a more vigorous process for schools and institutions in New Zealand and also determines the effort to rebuild the foreign enrollment base of the country.

Minister Hipkins said, " Our international education sector has done it tough for the last few years. Bringing forward our reopening to all international students shows this govt's strong commitment to them and to the rebuild of high-quality and world-class New Zealand international education".

The Minister also explained the wide-ranging immigration reforms announced by the govt, including various measures impacting foreign students.

The Minister also added that the govt has announced the changes to attract international students to learn, at the same time closing the backdoor trajectory to residency.
