The QS World University Rankings 2023 released by QS Quacquarelli Symonds include the list of around 1,500 top institutions from across the globe. This year's list is not just about iconic institutions securing the top spots but also includes universities from diverse regions across Asia, Europe, and North America.
The QS World University Rankings is a fast and easy medium to compare global institutions on the basis of different criteria such as academic reputation and number of enrolled international students. For this year's edition, a total of 2,462 institutions have been analyzed by the QS and 1,422 institutions from across the world have been ranked.
As per the QS WUR 2023, MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) has once again topped for the 11th consecutive year.
In the total list, no Indian institutions have been able to secure a place in the top 100. A total of 41 Indian universities have been ranked, out of which only 03 are in the top 200 and only 27 in the top 1000. For the 6th consecutive year, IISc Bengaluru has secured Rank 155. IIT Bombay has been ranked 172 and IIT Delhi at 174.

This year, a total of 27 Indian universities have secured a place amongst the top 1000 universities which was 20 in the 2022 rankings and 21 in the 2021 rankings.
