Samsung, South Korean Tech-giant, will be inaugurating its AR-VR (Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality) Innovation Lab at the IIT (Indian Institute of Technology), Jodhpur to upskill students on new technologies and to help them master industry-related skills to make them job-ready.



The programme will be offered to B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D students at the lab and would be conducted by the Samsung Engineers along with the IIT-Jodhpur's faculty. This lab would also be used by research students to regulate their experiments. One batch will be including 30-35 students and only one batch would be trained in a year.



The programme will continue for the duration of 14 weeks and would be conducted through classroom lectures, lab room sessions, assignments, mini-projects, and self-study. The curriculum will include AR-VR, with special focus on taste, touch, smell, robotic interfaces, brain-machine interfaces, and telepresence.
