On Saturday, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that education would be one of the sectors that would benefit in a significant way from the rollout of 5G technology in the country. The launch of 5G telecom services would aid the execution of the digital university being anticipated by the Ministry of Education.
The Union Education Minister said education would be one of the primary beneficiary sectors of this 5G rollout.
Pradhan told reporters that because, now, we are anticipating a digital university. We are going for virtual labs and virtual teachers. In all the areas, if we generate quality and presentable content, how do we send them to the niche and corner of the country? 5G will be the primary vehicle to reach out to the inaccessible.
On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was replying to a query about the Education Ministry's plans for the introduction of 5G services in the nation.
Pradhan said with the launch of 5G services, India is joining the premier league, and the ordinary man would significantly profit from it. He said the digital economy, education, healthcare, and other sectors would witness the advantage of 5G.
Pradhan stated the new 5G network would make a sea-change in the whole scenario. I see the poor man will be the main beneficiary of this 5G launch.
Prime Minister launched the 5G telephony services that vow to deliver ultra-high-speed internet on mobile devices. He introduced the 5G services in selected cities at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2022 conference in Delhi.
The 5G services would cover the whole country over the upcoming years. While addressing the University of Hyderabad (UoH) convocation, Dharmendra Pradhan said for India to become a leading economic superpower, society must prepare itself through education.
While referring to the introduction of 5G services, he said India would soon become a technological and economic superpower. Observing that the country aims to become an economic superpower and a knowledge-based economy, Pradhan said invention, creation, and entrepreneurship would take the nation ahead.
He said we have to build more wealth creators. We have to develop more job-creators than job-seekers- only then our Indian society will grow, he added. He said India is an old civilisation with strong linkages with science. And the pandemic has revealed that Indian knowledge systems and the Indian way of life have much to contribute to the world.
Later, Education Minister visited the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI)- where a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) & the Capacity Building Commission.
Pradhan tweeted that the memorandum of understanding (MoU) will pave the way for strengthening the learning and development ecosystem and creating agile, responsive, and future-ready civil servants.
