The HBCSE (Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education) has launched the 'STEAMbaot', an online series. The series has been launched to integrate Arts with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

The initiative will also aim at promoting creative and critical thinking and recognising the subjects' interdisciplinary nature.

In today's environment, the most amazing things are happening on the verge of the traditional branches of Arts, Science, Tech, Engineering, and Mathematics. The online series has been launched keeping this idea in mind, informed the Centre.

The Centre Director of HBCSE Arnab Bhattacharya said, "Both arts and science, after all, are creative endeavours. You are exploring the creativity of the human mind, whether it is done through music, painting or dance form or through science and experiments". He also added that skills from both sides are needed in today's environment.

The aim is to eradicate the artificial barriers between the art and science subjects, he further added.

The online series 'STEAMbaot' comprises talks and animated videos in multiple languages to explore arts, science, mathematics, technology, engineering, and their intersections.

The topic for the talks will be selected by the HBCSE community and the talks will be held on the 2nd Sunday of every month.
