Bangladesh is not a popular study-abroad destination for all Indian students, it does attract medical students who wish to stay in South Asia. According to Indian government records, nearly 9,308 Indian students will be enrolled in Bangladesh by 2022.

In 2021, 922 Indian students took the Accreditation Of healthcare Graduate Examination (FMGE), with 370 passing the medical screening test.



Eligibility



— A minimum average of 50% in PCB disciplines in grade 12.



NEET certification (50 percentile)



— Vaccinations against any potentially fatal diseases



— The minimum age is 17 years.



The course's structure



In Bangladesh, the Bachelor of Medical Sciences and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program appears to last five years, including this practicum year. All healthcare students must complete his\her internship year to qualify for a degree certificate.



Admissions procedure



To be admitted to an MBBS program at any of Bangladesh's universities, candidates must first select an institute and thereafter fill out another application form for that university. Candidates should be aware that the NEET score is required as an eligibility criterion.



Students can apply for a study visa as soon as the preselected university provides a conditional letter of acceptance by filling out the legal forms and adding the documents required such as a scanned copy, education degree validations, identity proof, the university's conditional offer letter, and more.



Tuition costs



Full-time MBBS degree courses cost approximately Rs 30 lakh-40 lakh for the entire degree, which may or may not include hostel fees.



Teaching medium



All universities in Bangladesh typically teach MBSS in English. In addition to English, this same country's native language is Bangla.

Bangladesh has many well-known medical schools. Institute of Applied Health Sciences (IAHS), Kumudini Womens Medical College, Prime Medical College, Rangpur Community Medical College, Tairunnessa Memorial Medical College and Hospital, Bangladesh Medical College (BMSRI), Community Based Medical College Bangladesh Cbmcb, Eastern Medical College Comilla, Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College, and others are among the colleges where the majority of Indian students have passed the FMGE exam.
