IIT Dhanbad Will provide Free Education to JEE Advanced Top Rank Holders

IIT Dhanbad decided to offer free education to 5 students out of 600 on the merit list of JEE Advanced. The education fees, accommodation, and food facilities of these five students will be waived. The initiative by IIT Dhanbad will be executed from the academic session 2022-23.

Russia Is All-Ready To Introduce a New System of Higher Education in 2023

For the first time, a timeframe has been offered for when Russia will drop out of the Bologna system, set up in 1999 in order to develop a universal standard for higher education across Europe and acknowledged in 49 countries. Iranian Students Call for Boycotts, Strikes Among Continuing Protests

On Tuesday- 27 September, a statement from the Paris-based secretariat of the (NCRI)- National Council of Resistance of Iran put the digit of those arrested at over 12,000 in the first eleven days of the protests, with deaths surpassing 240. Students from various universities released statements this week and called for strike action and the boycott of online classes. Some students also appealed for the release of all student activists and a return to offline classes. Students also asked their professors to join the strike.

New Drug Invented by US Researchers May Turn Covid-19 Virus Against Itself

The drug, represented in the journal- Nature Chemical Biology, overcoats SARS-CoV-2 with chemicals that can temporarily transform the human ACE2 receptor molecule the virus usually seals onto to infect cells. According to the researchers from The Scripps Research Institute, the drug, called NMT5, is likely to be efficacious against the appearing variants of SARS-CoV-2.

Kerala: General Education Minister Introduced a New Interactive Device For Digital Studies

Kerala General Education Minister V. Sivankutty introduced the ‘KITE Board’ application, which is a multi-purpose, device-independent, FOSS-based, interactive device that would enable teachers with hassle-free use of hi-tech equipment in classrooms. The KITE Board also promotes the storage of content written on Blackboard by the teacher in PDF form- a characteristic that would help students unable to attend a class. It also records activities done on the Board using the screen recording feature.

Bipin Kumar Tiwari, an officer on special duty at the Delhi University's Equal Opportunity Cell, said that Delhi University is beginning a centre for disabilities studies under which various courses will be started.
