UNFPA-India Initiates Hackathon to Address and Stop Gender-Based ViolenceThe United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) India - in collaboration with, TechGig, has launched a Hackathon - Crack the Code to stop and address gender-based violence. The most recent data from National Family Health Survey (NHFS-5) also reported that around 29.3% of married Indian women between the ages of (18-49) years faced domestic violence or sexual violence.

India Issues Advisory Briefing Troubles for Students Preparing to Study Medicine in ChinaIndia has issued a detailed advisory for forthcoming students desiring to study medicine in China, warning them of the pitfalls, including poor pass percentage, mandatory learning of the official spoken language Putonghua and stringent criteria to qualify to practice in India. According to official estimates, over 23,000 Indian students are presently enrolled in various Chinese universities. A vast plurality of them is medical students.

Digital University Will Provide a Smoother Route to Online Education, says UGC ChairmanChairman, University Grants Commission (UGC), declared the information at the roundtable- Enhancing Competitiveness and Quality Revolution in Indian Higher Education (IHE). Professor Jagadesh commented that there are around 126 deemed universities in India, and they are already working on the deemed-to-be universities’ laws. Removing the tag ‘deemed-to-be’ needs an amendment on the UGC part. But it will happen for sure.

US Education Delegation Visiting To Improve Academic Linkages With IndiaThe US Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) will explore partnerships and collaboration with the Indian education sector during the delegation visits to Bengaluru, New Delhi, and Mumbai between September 12-16. The delegation will include representatives of 21 US HEIs (Higher Education Institutes) from 15 US states, which will go around the three major Indian cities against the backdrop of India’s New Education Policy (NEP 2020).

The Concerned department is instructed by CM to arrange the coaching for students from- Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Classes, Scheduled Tribes, and Economically Weaker Sections.

Union Cabinet Approves MoU Between India & UAE for Education Sector.Union Cabinet approved an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) signed between the Ministries of Education in India and UAE on cooperation in the education sector. The statement said that this MoU would recharge educational cooperation and expand academic mobility between India and UAE, besides facilitating the exchange of information in order to encourage mutual recognition of these qualifications.

NMC Permits Indian students from Ukrainian Universities Achieve Their Medical Degrees in Other CountriesIndian medical students who had returned from war-ravaged Ukraine will now be allowed to resettle or migrate to universities in other countries and achieve their medical degrees. The official notice from NMC read that the degree will be awarded by the parent Ukrainian university. The Commission thus shares its no-objection for academic mobility programme in respect of Indian medical students studying in Ukraine provided that other criteria of Screening Test Regulations 2002 are fulfilled.

Selection of Govt Schools After State Agrees to Enforce NEP 2020 in itsThe implementation of the scheme will be as a Centrally sponsored scheme with a total project cost of ?27,360 crores, with the Centre’s claim being ?18,128 crores for five years from 2022-23 to 2026-27 for transforming 14,500 schools across the nation. Arvind Kejriwal wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi offering his cooperation as it had transformed government schools in the state with very little money. Dharmendra Pradhan reacted to the letter by Arvind Kejriwal and attacked the Delhi government for failing to build new schools in the last eight years

NTA Declared NEET UG 2022 Results: Check the List of Top Rankers, Marks, Cut-Off MarksCandidates who appeared for the exam can check their NTA NEET UG results on the official website of NTA- ntaresults.nic.in and neet.nta.nic.in.
